Stark (b. November 17, 1925) served with Company A, 1st Battalion, 344th Regiment, 84th Infantry Division in the European theater of World War II. He was wounded at the Battle of the Bulge, and received a Silver Star for his actions at that battle. Stark was honorably discharged from service in 1945.
